Sydell'S Rice Casserole * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown or long grain rice
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1/2 to 1 stick butter or margarine
    slivered almonds
    1 c. water chestnuts, sliced and drained
Preparation
    Mix ingredients.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes covered and 30 minutes uncovered.
    Serves 6.
