Coconut-Filled Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 sq. melted chocolate
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and continue to beat as you add sugar and egg.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Add cooled chocolate.
    When dough is well combined, form into rolls about 2 inches in diameter and chill until firm.
    Cut half of dough into thin rounds and place on cookie sheet.
    Then place half a rounded teaspoonful of coconut filling on each cookie.
    Cut remaining dough into rounds and press each on top of filling to form cookie sandwiches.
    Bake 10 minutes at 400\u00b0.
