Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. butter
    2/3 c. evaporated milk (use 1/3 at a time)
    6 oz. chocolate chips
    6 oz. chopped walnuts
    14 oz. bag caramels
    1 container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix cake according to package directions, adding 1/3 cup evaporated milk and butter.
    Pour half of the batter into prepared pan.
    Bake for 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
