Meatballs And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. hamburger
    2/3 c. cracker crumbs
    1/3 c. minced onion
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 (13 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/3 c. chopped bell pepper
Preparation
    Mix first 7 ingredients; make into balls.
    Melt shortening in skillet; brown meatballs and remove meatballs and keep warm. Drain off fat.
    Mix until smooth, cornstarch, brown sugar, pineapple juice, vinegar and soy sauce.
    Pour into skillet; stir over medium heat, stirring constantly to a boil.
    Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Add meatballs, pineapple and pepper.
    Stir to heat through.
    Serve over rice.
