Coffee Liqueur - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. dark roast instant coffee
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 qt. vodka
    2 c. water
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, bring to a boil 2 cups of water, sugar and coffee; cool.
    Stir in vanilla and pour into a 2-quart container. Stir in vodka.
    With spoon, skim off foam.
    Cover tightly.
    Let stand at room temperature for 48 hours.
