Apple Dolly - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. oil
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. light brown sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 c. milk

Preparation

Mix first 9 ingredients as when making cake from scratch. Bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
Mix brown sugar, margarine and milk.
Boil 3 minutes.
Pour over cake in pan when taken from oven.
Sprinkle with nuts or coconut, if desired.
Let stand 2 hours before serving.
