Strawberry Kringle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box Duncan Hines yellow or white cake mix, baked according to directions
    1 1/2 c. sour cream
    2 c. strawberries, mashed
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. strawberry gelatin
    1/4 c. boiling water
    1 large container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in water; cool.
    Add sour cream, sugar and strawberries.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Split cake layers to make 4 layers.
    Put strawberry filling between layers and on top.
    Put in sealed container and refrigerate 24 hours.
    Frost with Cool Whip.
