Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix or white cake mix or angel food cake
    2 small boxes Jell-O instant vanilla pudding
    1 large bowl Cool Whip or 2 small
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 c. pecan pieces
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed.
    When cool, crumble 1/2 cake in punch bowl.
    Mix pudding as directed.
    When set, mix with Cool Whip. Pour 1/2 mixture over crumbled cake.
    Spread half the pineapple on top.
    Spread half the pie filling.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 pecan pieces. Repeat the process, starting with other half of cake, put in refrigerator until ready to serve.
