Easy Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sliced fresh peaches or canned peaches
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. butter or oleo, melted
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Place peaches in ungreased 9-inch pan or casserole dish; set aside.
    Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; stir well.
    Spoon batter over peaches.
    Combine sugar and water, stirring well. Pour slowly over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serves 6.
