Liberia Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. mace
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. cloves
2/3 c. light molasses
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. citron, cut fine
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. shredded coconut

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs one at a time.
Sift dry ingredients and stir in alternately with milk and molasses.
Stir until smooth.
Fold in fruit and coconut.
Pour into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
