Curried Pumpkin Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 lb. can solid pack pumpkin
    4 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. curry powder
    1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1/4 tsp. ground ginger
    1 bay leaf
    1 c. light cream
Preparation
    Melt butter in large saucepan.
    Saute onion until tender. Stir in pumpkin, broth, salt, curry powder, nutmeg, pepper, ginger and bay leaf.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Add light cream and stir just until thoroughly heated.
