Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 C. hot water
1 C. oats
1 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. shortening
1 C. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 C. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pour water over oats; let stand 20 minutes.
Cream the sugars and shortening.
Add oats mixture and eggs.
Add flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Beat until well moistened.
