Braised Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 c. sauerkraut, drained
    2 c. beef bouillon
    2 apples, sliced
    2 slices bacon
    1 potato, grated
Preparation
    Melt margarine in large skillet.
    Saute onion until golden brown.
    Stir in sauerkraut and apple slices.
    Pour in bouillon and place bacon slices on top.
    Cover; simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Add grated potato and continue to simmer until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
    Remove bacon and serve hot.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
