Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 c. cucumbers, peeled and sliced
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 c. onion
Preparation
    Cover cucumbers with salt.
    Let stand for 1 hour and drain well.
    Combine sugar, vinegar and celery seed and bring to a boil. Let this syrup mixture cool, then pour over cucumbers.
    Add 1 onion.
    Pack into pint jars and store in refrigerator.
    Pickles will be ready to enjoy in about 3 days.
