Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 green tomatoes
    3/4 c. cornmeal
    2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    fat for frying
Preparation
    Wash and slice tomatoes 1/4-inch thick.
    Mix cornmeal, salt and pepper. Roll tomatoes in meal mixture.
    Fry slowly until browned, turning once.
    Drain on paper towels and serve hot. Serves 6.
