Grandma Ann'S Goulash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 qt. water
1 qt. canned tomatoes (homemade is best)
2 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, diced
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c. rice
1 c. small flat egg noodles
2 medium potatoes, diced
4 or 5 whole allspice (5 if small)
1 medium green pepper, diced
Preparation

In a 6-quart pot (or larger), add water, tomatoes, ground beef, onion and salt and pepper to taste.
Bring to boil.
Let simmer 1 hour.
Then add 1/2 cup rice, noodles, potatoes and allspice.
Cook 1/2 hour longer, then last, add diced green pepper.
Cook goulash until pepper is tender.
Cooking time:
1 1/2 to 2 hours.
