Louisiana Frankfurter Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. margarine
    4 frankfurters, cut in 1-inch pieces
    1 c. chopped celery
    2 green peppers, cut in 1-inch squares
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1 clove garlic, pressed, or garlic juice
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. basil
    1 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. or less Tabasco sauce
Preparation
    Melt margarine in a 4-quart saucepan.
    Add celery and green pepper; saute until slightly soft.
    Sprinkle with flour.
    Add tomatoes, frankfurters, onion, garlic and the spices.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
    Ladle over cooked rice in large soup bowls. Serve with French bread.
    A hot, spicy dish!
