Bourbon Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. red candied cherries (about 1 lb.), chopped
1 1/2 c. light seedless raisins
2 c. bourbon
3/4 lb. butter or margarine
2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. nutmeg
6 eggs, separated
5 c. sifted all-purpose flour
4 c. pecans (about 1 lb.), chopped in large pieces
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Combine cherries, raisins and bourbon.
Cover and let stand overnight.
Drain fruit, reserving bourbon.
Cream the butter or magarine and sugars together until light.
Add egg yolks and beat well.
