Cherry Blossom Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. margarine
Preparation
    Sift flour, salt and soda.
    Add brown sugar and oatmeal.
    Cut in margarine until mixture is a coarse meal.
    Press half of mixture into a 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan, ungreased.
    Spread with cherry filling.
    Cover with remaining mixture.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve with Cool Whip or vanilla ice cream topping.
