Dr. Pepper Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. Dr. Pepper
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. paprika
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    1 can chili hot beans, drained
Preparation
    Place ground beef in heavy pan with onion and garlic.
    Cook, stirring with fork to break up meat, until slightly browned.
    Add salt, tomato paste, Dr. Pepper and water.
    Cover; simmer until meat is very tender and mixture is desired thickness.
    Add chili beans.
