Chocolate Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Sift and then measure the flour. Sift again with baking powder, salt and 1/2 cup sugar. Blend shortening into the above ingredients until soft. Add the milk, vanilla and chopped nuts to the mixture. Mix well. Pour into greased 9-inch square baking dish. Combine the 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and cocoa. Sprinkle over the batter. Pour boiling water over the batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. May be topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
