Bacon Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices bacon
    1 c. self-rising corn meal
    1 c. milk
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.
    Reserve 1/4 cup bacon drippings.
    Combine flour, corn meal and sugar.
    Add eggs, milk and bacon drippings; stir until moistened.
    Stir in crumbled bacon.
    Spoon batter into greased muffin pans and bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Makes 12 muffins.
