Casserole Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. warm water
    1 c. warm milk
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
    4 1/2 c. flour
    garlic salt or powder
Preparation
    Soak yeast in 1 cup warm water for 5 minutes.
    Pour milk over sugar, salt and shortening.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Add yeast mixture and all of flour.
    Beat 2 minutes by hand.
    Cover with greased wax paper and let rise 35 to 45 minutes.
    Beat 1/2 minute and pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle with garlic salt.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from casserole and cool. Great with pasta!
