Refrigerator Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 large cabbage, shredded fine
2 large onions, sliced
7/8 c. sugar
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. celery seed
1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. vinegar
3/4 c. salad oil
Preparation
-
Alternate layers of cabbage and onion in large jar.
Top with 7/8 cup sugar.
Combine 2 teaspoons sugar, mustard, celery seed, salt, vinegar and salad oil.
Bring to boil.
Pour over cabbage. Cool.
Cover and refrigerate at least 3 days before serving.
The flavor improves with age.
