Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yellow squash
    1 stick butter
    1 small onion, finely chopped
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Boil squash and onion until well done; season to taste. Drain and mash. Add 1/2 stick butter, 1/2 cup crackers, eggs and sugar. Place in baking dish. Melt remaining butter; pour over casserole then add rest of crackers. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Add cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes, until cheese is melted.
