Sugared Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain peanuts
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Combine peanuts, sugar and water in a heavy 12-inch skillet. Place over medium heat and bring mixture to a boil.
    Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture has caramelized and nuts are coated (skillet should appear dry when stirring through mixture), about 12 to 15 minutes.
    Immediately spread coated nuts on a large buttered baking sheet.
    Bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
    Cool on rack.
    Store cooled peanuts in an airtight container.
