Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
1 stick butter or oleo
1/4 c. sweet milk
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 unbaked pie shell

Preparation

Boil sweet potatoes in clear water until tender.
Peel while warm.
Mash with electric mixer on low speed.
Add butter or oleo while potatoes are still warm.
Add sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat well, but do not clean beater blades (this is where the strings are).
Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 350\u00b0 until set and lightly brown.
