Beef Brisket With Sauerkraut - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. beef brisket
hot water
1 Tbsp. salt
pepper to taste
1 qt. sauerkraut
1 c. white wine or vinegar
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 uncooked potato, grated
Preparation

Cover brisket with water; season and simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Add sauerkraut, wine or vinegar and brown sugar.
Cook about 1 hour longer or until meat is tender.
Add grated potato and cook 10 to 15 minutes longer.
Serves 8.
