Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/3 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 c. unsulfured molasses
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Blend baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and butter.
Stir in sugar; beat in eggs.
Stir in molasses and add hot water.
Alternate with flour mix.
Pour in well-buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 45 minutes.
