Ham Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium potatoes, cubed
1 c. celery, chopped
1 c. chopped carrots
1 diced onion
4 c. water
4 c. milk
2 c. cooked ham, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
16 oz. Cheddar cheese
Preparation

Bring water to a boil.
Add vegetables, salt and pepper. Simmer until vegetables are done.
Melt butter in a large pan. Add flour.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
Add cheese. Pour into vegetables.
Add ham.
Heat thoroughly.
Add hot sauce, if desired.
