Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour or 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. milk
3 slightly beaten egg yolks (reserve whites for meringue)
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
Preparation

In saucepan, combine sugar and flour or cornstarch; mix well. In small bowl, mix 1 cup milk with slightly beaten egg yolks.
Add this to the flour mixture, along with remaining cup of milk.
Cook until it thickens, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add vanilla, butter and coconut.
Pour into baked pastry shell and top with meringue.
