Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. uncooked navy beans or mixed beans
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth
    1 qt. water
    2 medium carrots, cut
    1/2 small head cabbage, shredded
    1 medium potato, diced
    1 (16 oz.) can unsalted tomatoes
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 zucchini, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 c. broken spaghetti
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. marjoram
    2 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation
    In large kettle cover beans with water.
    Boil.
    Turn off stove; let sit 1 hour.
    Drain water; add 1 quart water and chicken broth.
    Cook for 1/2 hour.
    Add remaining vegetables and spices and cook 1/2 hour.
    Add spaghetti 10 minutes before serving.
    Add tomato juice, if needed, for moisture.
