Home Baked Italian Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. flour
    1 egg
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. solid yeast (bread yeast), crumbled
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Beat egg and oil together in a small bowl.
    Add 1/2 cup water. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup water.
    Add 1/2 cup water to egg and oil mixture.
    Add to flour and mix with enough water to make dough. Let rise in a warm place until dough doubles in size.
    Punch down dough and knead until no longer sticky.
    Let rise again (about 1 hour).
    Shape into loaves and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
