40 Punch Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
3 2/3 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
5 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. oil
3 beaten eggs
1 tsp. salt (makes a total of 2 tsp.)
8 c. flour (approximately)
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in water.
Add first salt and first flour. This makes an old fashioned cooking term - a sponge.
Let set for 1/2 to 1 hour.
Then add sugar, oil, eggs and last salt and flour. Mix and knead until velvety smooth.
Place in a large oiled bowl and let rise until double.
Cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to use.
