Gar'S Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. flour, plain
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 yeast cake or 1 pkg. dry yeast
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix flour, salt, and shortening.
Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, add egg.
Gradually add flour and beat well.
Let rise until double in bulk.
Knead on floured surface.
Roll dough 1/3 inch thick.
Cut with cutter.
Fold in half.
Let rise again at least 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Bake at 425\u00b0 until brown, about 15 - 20 minutes.
Brush tops with margarine.
Makes about 36 rolls.
