Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raisins
    3 c. water
    3 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. lard
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Boil raisins in water for 10 minutes.
    Add soda and lard; let cool.
    Sift flour with salt, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and baking powder.
    Beat eggs; add sugar and milk.
    Add flour and raisin mixture.
    Cook in tube pan at 350\u00b0 for an hour or more (until done).
