Meat Crust Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. grated onion
    2 tsp. salt
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 1/3 c. uncooked Minute rice
    1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
    1/4 c. green pepper
    1/8 tsp. oregano
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. grated cheese
    4 to 6 tomato slices
Preparation
    Combine beef, bread crumbs, onions, green pepper, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, seasonings, and 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce.
    Mix well and pat into bottom and sides of greased 9-inch pie plate. Combine remaining 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, water, rice and 1/2 cup of the cheese.
    Spoon mixture into meat shell.
    Cover and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
    Top with tomato slices and remaining cheese.
    Bake, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes longer.
    Makes 5 to 6 servings.
