Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 (4 oz. each) cans chopped green chilies
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
    1 (16 oz.) can lima beans
    1 pkg. taco seasoning (1 1/4 oz.)
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 pkg. Ranch dressing mix (1 oz.)
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can hominy, drained
    3 cans stewed tomatoes (14 1/2 oz., I use two 28 oz. cans)
    1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    shredded Cheddar cheese
    tortilla chips
Preparation
    In a large Dutch oven, brown beef and onion; drain fat.
    Add all remaining ingredients except last two.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
    Top with cheese.
    Serve with tortilla chips.
    Serves 10.
