Ingredients

2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract *
1 tsp. grated lemon peel or orange peel
Preparation

In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
In mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, vanilla and lemon or orange peel.
Beat in dry ingredients just until combined.
Divide dough in half.
Wrap tightly and refrigerate 4 hour or overnight.
