No Fail Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put sugar, water and syrup in pan.
    Stir while it dissolves over heat.
    Let boil, without stirring, to a hard ball stage. While syrup is cooking, beat the egg whites.
    When syrup is ready, pour over the egg whites slowly, beating constantly.
    Add pecans and flavor; beat until cool and drop by spoonfuls on buttered plate.
