Layered Spinach - Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. spinach, torn in bite sized pieces
    1 small head lettuce, torn in small pieces
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 small can English peas, drained
    5 green onions, chopped
    3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
    1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 small carton sour cream
    1 Tbsp. buttermilk salad dressing mix
Preparation
    Layer first 8 ingredients in order listed in a large salad bowl.
    Combine mayonnaise, sour cream and salad dressing mix. Mix well.
    Spread over top of salad, sealing to edge of bowl. Cover tightly and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. \"Yum-yum.\"
