Field Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 slices bacon
4 sweet onions, chopped
2 Tbsp. flour
1 bouillon cube
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
2 c. shelled peas (about 2 lb.)
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp.
Remove from pan and crumble.
Brown onion in bacon fat.
Add flour and brown.
Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water and blend into flour mixture.
Season to taste. Add peas; cover and cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
Top with crumbled bacon before serving.
