Quick Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. warm buttermilk
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    3 to 4 Tbsp. soft shortening
    2 1/2 to 3 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar in the warm water.
    Add sugar, shortening and soda to the warm milk, then add to yeast mixture.
    Add flour to make soft dough; knead on floured board until smooth and elastic.
    Cover with cloth and let rest 10 or 15 minutes.
    Roll and cut or shape into desired shapes.
    Put in greased, warm pans.
    Let rise until doubled in a warm place.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 oven.
    Brush with butter or oleo.
