Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can green peas
    1/3 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. plain flour
    2 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. chopped cooked chicken
    1 c. chopped onions
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped carrots
    1 c. half and half
    1 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute onions, celery and carrots in melted butter for 10 minutes.
    Add peas and flour to sauteed mixture, stirring well. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Combine broth and half and half gradually. Stir in vegetable mixture.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly.
    Stir in salt, pepper and chopped chicken.
    Pour mixture into 2-quart casserole. Top with pie crust.
    Cut slits for steam to escape. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
