Anise Cookie Teething Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. anise oil, lemon or vanilla
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs
    2 Tbsp. milk
    3 plus c. flour
Preparation
    Shape into 2-inch roll; brush with egg.
    Place on greased sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0.
    Slice and re-toast until brown.
