English Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
1 lb. sugar
6 to 8 oz. slivered almonds
6 to 8 oz. finely ground almonds
1 giant Hershey bar (plain), melted
Preparation

Cook sugar and butter, stirring constantly.
The mixture will separate, when it comes back together stir in slivered almonds. Continue cooking over low heat until candy comes together and is dark brown.
Pour into 2 buttered cookie sheets.
When hard but still warm, spread with chocolate and sprinkle ground almonds on top.
