Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 3/4 c. sifted plain flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs together thoroughly. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
    Combine with shortening mixture.
    Chill dough.
    Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Roll dough into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll in 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon (fun part!).
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    These cookie puff up at first, then flatten out with crinkled tops.
