Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/3 c. orange juice
    1 tsp. grated orange rind
    2 c. fresh cranberries, washed and cut in half
    3/4 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
    2 Tbsp. butter, melted and cooled
    1 c. plus 1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a large bowl; set aside.
    Combine egg, orange juice and water; stir in melted butter.
    Make a well in the center of dry ingredients.
    Add the liquid ingredients all at one time.
    Stir only enough to moisten.
    Add nuts, cranberries and grated orange rind.
    Stir just enough to blend.
    Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 70 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
    Cool thoroughly.
