Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can green beans
    1 (16 oz.) can wax beans
    1 (16 oz.) can lima beans
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
    1 small can carrots
    1 can mixed vegetables
    1 medium green pepper
    1 medium onion
    1 small can black-eyed peas
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. minced parsley
Preparation
    Mix all vegetables together; rinse them well first.
    Let set. Combine sugar, oil, pepper, vinegar, salt and parsley.
    Heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
    Pour over vegetables.
    Cover and let set several hours.
