Ingredients

3/4 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses (gold label)
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Melt margarine and set to cool.
When cool, add sugar, molasses and egg; beat well.
Sift dry ingredients and add to the mixture.
Refrigerate for 12 hours.
Shape into small balls.
Roll in sugar and bake on cookie sheet in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
